Leave management on OXHRM
Basic leave sits on the free Startup plan. Approvals and balances are described with attendance. This page does not add modules the rest of the site does not list.
Who basic leave is for
A cafe, shop or five-person office that can stay within 20 users and only needs punches plus leave. Startup is ₹0 per month and lists geo-fenced attendance tracking, basic leave management, a mobile app for iOS and Android, an employee self-service portal, and email support.
Field teams still use the same leave wording. Construction and security pages talk about GPS-verified site attendance and rosters; published 24/7 or multi-shift rosters are Growth items, not a second leave product. IT and hybrid teams use the same Startup leave bullet unless they buy the AI HR Assistant add-on, which lists automated leave request handling as a paid extra.
What is listed next to leave
The attendance page describes integrated leave tracking with automated balance calculations and approval workflows. The mobile app showcase describes leave application and balances. Self-service on Core HR is for personal information, payslips and policies — not a second leave engine. Growth adds payroll, shift rosters, analytics, performance, 24/7 support and custom integrations. Extra users are ₹49. GST on the calculator is 18%.
How it works
Staff apply from the app where the showcase lists leave application and balances. Approvers use the attendance leave workflow the product page already names. The site does not publish a screenshot catalogue of supervisor screens. Confirm the path in a demo or on the free plan.
If you later buy the AI HR Assistant add-on (₹18 per seat per month, regular ₹30), that card lists automated leave request handling plus policy search. That is not a Startup bullet. Email support remains on Startup. Growth lists 24/7 priority support as a plan item, separate from the chatbot.
Field clock-in and leave on the same day
Geo-fenced attendance is on Startup. Location is recorded at punch, not as live tracking — see GPS attendance. Face recognition and offline auto-sync are on the Biometric Attendance add-on. Leave balances still sit on the Startup leave wording whether you punch by GPS, QR, IP or selfie.
Setup steps you can take from this site
- Open panel.oxhrm.com/signup. Stay on Startup while you have up to 20 users if you only need the free modules. See free HR software.
- Add people in Core HR so leave attaches to a named employee.
- Turn on clock-in so the attendance register exists before you load balances.
- Enter opening leave balances after punches look right. The FAQ gives that order; it does not publish how many days it takes.
- Ask staff to use the Android app from the Play Store listing in the footer, or the web product, for leave application where the showcase describes it.
- Use email support, call +91 96678 22661, or contact, if an approval path is unclear. Buy the AI add-on only if you want the leave-request handling listed on that card. Confirm the live rate on pricing.
If you also need published rosters or advanced payroll, those are Growth and add-on items — see payroll. This page does not invent leave types, accrual formulae or country packs the rest of the site does not list.
How leave sits next to industries and add-ons
Restaurant copy is about staff attendance, shift planning, payroll and compliance for food-service teams. A 12-person cafe can stay on free if it stays within 20 users and only needs Startup modules. Rosters and advanced payroll are Growth. Retail copy covers attendance, shifts, staff movement and payroll for stores; extra outlets are not described as a second subscription — plans are per organisation and user count.
Construction copy is GPS-verified site attendance and records for contractors and permanent staff. If you give a contractor a user seat they count toward the 20- or 40-user cap. Security-agency copy describes GPS geofencing at client sites and Growth for published 24/7 rosters. None of those pages rename “basic leave management.”
Collaboration, tasks, time monitoring and equipment are separate product areas. Time monitoring is a consent-based desktop add-on, not leave. Equipment tracking sits beside Core HR offboarding. Do not expect those pages to add casual-leave formulae. If a policy question is what you actually want answered for staff, that is the AI add-on’s policy-search bullet, not Startup leave.
Signup remains panel.oxhrm.com/signup. The Play Store listing in the footer is the live app link this site publishes. Confirm plan prices on the pricing page rather than from an old quote.
