HR calculators for Indian teams
Two estimators you can run in the browser. They use published formulae and official source links. They do not write to OXHRM payroll.
Who these calculators are for
Indian SMBs often need a rupee check before they open payroll software or call a CA. A founder on Startup (₹0, up to 20 users) may only run geo-fenced attendance and basic leave, and still want to know what PF would look like if they later buy Growth. A growing team on Growth (₹1,999 per month, up to 40 users) may be looking at the Automated Payroll add-on and want the statutory PF split in writing first.
These pages are also for people who keep salary in another product. The attendance page says you can export Excel or PDF. This site does not name a ready-made connector to another payroll tool. The calculators still give a number you can compare with that file.
What this hub is not
It is not an in-hand or CTC calculator. It is not a challan, ECR or payment screen. Statutory gratuity calculation is not listed as an OXHRM payroll feature. The Automated Payroll add-on lists PF, ESI and PT among statutory heads, TDS, Form 16, UPI and bank transfers, and digital payslips — at ₹15 per seat per month (regular ₹25) on the pricing page.
How they work
PF calculator
Open /tools/pf-calculator. Enter monthly PF wages. The page splits employee EPF at 12% and employer 12% as EPS (8.33% of wages up to the notified ceiling) plus employer EPF. The ceiling used there is ₹25,000 as notified, effective 17 September 2026 (Gazette S.O. 5109(E)). Official source links sit on that page.
Use it when you want the employee/employer split, not take-home pay. Extra users on Growth are ₹49. GST on the pricing calculator is 18%. Those product prices are separate from PF maths.
Gratuity calculator
Open /tools/gratuity-calculator. It estimates last drawn basic plus DA × 15 ÷ 26 × completed years, rounding leftover months only when they are more than six, and applying a five-year eligibility rule. It cites the Payment of Gratuity Act and the Code on Social Security. The displayed tax-free amount is capped at ₹20 lakh on that page. It is an estimate, not legal advice.
How this relates to OXHRM product pages
Attendance that later feeds salary can use GPS, selfie, QR or IP. Field sites are described on GPS attendance. Payslips in employee self-service are described on Core HR. Growth payroll and the add-on are on payroll. Plan questions sit on the FAQ. Confirm live prices on pricing.
Setup steps you can take from this site
- Bookmark this hub at https://oxhrm.com/tools with no trailing slash. The nginx config redirects /tools/ here so the directory of calculator files does not loop.
- Run the PF calculator with the wage figure you actually use for PF, not CTC. Read Gazette S.O. 5109(E) on that page if the ceiling matters to you.
- Run the gratuity calculator with last drawn basic plus DA and completed years. Check the five-year rule and the more-than-six months rounding note.
- If you only need attendance and basic leave today, stay on Startup at ₹0 for up to 20 users. The calculators still work in the browser.
- If you want OXHRM to list salary processing, read Growth and the Automated Payroll add-on on pricing. Do not treat the PF calculator as ECR filing.
- Email support@oxhrm.com or call +91 96678 22661 if a product question is unclear. Use contact for a walkthrough. The site does not publish implementation days for moving from a spreadsheet.
Signup, when you want an account, is panel.oxhrm.com/signup. The calculators do not create that account for you.
Worked uses that stay inside published facts
A 15-person shop on Startup can run the PF calculator for one wage figure, then keep using geo-fenced attendance and basic leave. Nothing on this hub requires Growth. A 35-person factory looking at Growth plus the Automated Payroll add-on can use the same PF page to see the employee 12% and employer EPS/EPF split before they treat the add-on card as a filing product — the add-on lists PF as a statutory head, not ECR export.
A security or construction buyer who only needs site punches should read GPS attendance first. The calculators do not replace a geofence. A suite-shaped buyer comparing products can keep these estimators open while they read the Keka, greytHR or Zoho People alternative pages; those pages state OXHRM prices only.
If the trailing-slash URL /tools/ appears in an old bookmark, the production nginx config returns 301 to /tools. Child calculators stay at /tools/pf-calculator and /tools/gratuity-calculator. Do not paste calculator results into a statutory return without reading the official texts linked on those pages.
Tools FAQs
What tools does OXHRM publish on this site?+
Two standalone estimators: a gratuity calculator (15/26, five-year rule) and a PF calculator (employee 12% and employer EPF/EPS split, EPS capped at the notified ₹25,000 wage ceiling). They are not payroll features.
Do these calculators file PF or pay gratuity?+
No. They are on-page estimates. OXHRM’s Automated Payroll add-on lists PF among statutory heads but does not describe ECR export or challan filing. Statutory gratuity calculation is not listed as a payroll feature.
Which URL should I bookmark?+
This hub is https://oxhrm.com/tools (no trailing slash). Each calculator has its own path under /tools/.
Are the calculators free to use?+
Yes. They are public pages on this website. You do not need a paid OXHRM plan to open them. They do not write results into an OXHRM account.
What PF ceiling do you use?+
The PF calculator uses ₹25,000 as notified, effective 17 September 2026 (Gazette S.O. 5109(E)). Read the official source links on that page.
What gratuity formula do you use?+
Last drawn basic plus DA × 15 ÷ 26 × completed years, rounding leftover months only when they are more than six, and applying a five-year eligibility rule. The page cites the Payment of Gratuity Act and the Code on Social Security.
Does Growth payroll replace these calculators?+
No. Growth lists advanced payroll processing. The Automated Payroll add-on lists PF, ESI and PT among statutory heads, plus TDS and Form 16. The calculators stay as browser estimates.
Can I use them if payroll stays in another product?+
Yes. Attendance can be exported as Excel or PDF. The site does not name a ready-made connector to another payroll product. The calculators still give a rupee check.
Is this legal advice?+
No. Both calculator pages say they are estimates, not legal advice. Confirm figures with a CA or the official texts linked on those pages.
Where do I go after I have a number?+
For product pricing see /pricing. For plan questions see the FAQ. For salary processing listed on OXHRM see the payroll page. Signup is panel.oxhrm.com/signup.
